Dave Colesante, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Managed Services, leads the growth and expansion for SunGard Availability Services’ managed Services.

With more than 20 years of IT experience, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and business acumen to the company.  Collaborating closely with his Recovery Services counterparts, Dave works to ensure that Sungard provides the highest, most consistent level of information availability services to its customers.

Dave joined SunGard Availability Services from VeriCenter, a Houston based managed services company acquired by SunGard in 2007.  As one of the company’s founders, Dave served as SVP of Operations and CTO, which included responsibilities for overseeing the design, implementation and maintenance of operational infrastructure and technical support systems.  While at VeriCenter, Dave also led the company’s production management team.

Prior to VeriCenter, Dave co-founded and served as COO at Jones Business Systems, Inc., a high growth infrastructure business, from 1992 to 1999.  Previously, he was Director of UNIX Support Services at WPDS/Microware Distributors, where he led technical teams and contributed to overall business management.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and mathematics from State University of New York at Potsdam.
