As executive vice president, products, and chief technology officer, Indu runs the product organization at SunGard Availability Services, with overall responsibility for development and delivery of new products that contribute to top-line revenue. Among other things, the product organization uses technological innovation to spearhead new service development, evaluate technology platforms, define requirements for new products, engineers them, and supports the delivery of these products to the operations organization.
Indu joins SunGard Availability Services from Oracle, where he was vice president of service delivery platform products within Oracle Communications, and ran product management and development for the Oracle Communications Service Delivery Platform. In this role, he was responsible for end-to-end product strategy and delivery of the Oracle Service Delivery Platform set of products.
Prior to joining Oracle, Indu was senior director of product management at BEA for the WebLogic Communications Platform (WLCP), where he co-created the overall vision and product strategy that resulted in an entirely new business within BEA. Indu’s earlier work experience at BEA included business development for the WebLogic Workshop team, where, as part of the Workshop management team, he helped grow the presence of WebLogic Workshop from zero to adoption by several hundred thousand developers over 24 months.
Prior to joining BEA in 2001, Indu was an engagement manager at McKinsey and Company where he advised senior management at telecommunications and software clients. Indu’s work at McKinsey included several high-profile engagements, including advising the Department of Justice on a key anti-trust trial.
