As senior vice president of corporate strategy & business development at SunGard Availability Services, Jack Dziak is responsible for defining a clear path that achieves SunGard’s vision to be the IT solutions provider of choice and to ensure the availability of our customers’ business operations. Consistent with that role, Jack owns the strategy for development of new markets and new geographies, as well as our mergers and acquisitions strategy.
Jack comes to SunGard from Neustar, a communications and internet infrastructure company, where he served as chief strategy officer. Prior to that role, Jack served in a number of executive-level positions in the communications industry, including senior vice president, corporate strategy for Sprint Nextel and senior vice president, corporate strategy and business development for MCI (now Verizon Business). Jack was also a partner in Accenture’s Communications and High Tech market unit, part of a 15 year career as a strategy and technology development consultant. Jack began his career at Coopers and Lybrand, where he specialized in the restructuring, privatization and capitalization of many of the world’s global telecommunications services providers.
Jack holds a Bachelor’s degree (honors) in Economics from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business and a Masters in Business Administration in Finance and International Economics from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
