Michael Ruane is SunGard Availability Services chief financial officer. He joined SunGard in 1985 and has served as chief financial officer at SunGard Data Systems since 1994.

Mr. Ruane has also held the positions of controller and chief financial officer of the risk and derivatives group. From 1976 to 1984, Mr. Ruane was an audit manager at Coopers & Lybrand with a variety of clients in the brokerage and software industries.

Mr. Ruane is a certified public accountant and holds a BS in accounting from LaSalle University and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
