Ram Shanmugam is the senior director of product management for Recovery Services at SunGard Availability Services. In this role, he oversees product management function for the Cloud-based recovery solutions product portfolio. Previously, he held increasing levels of leadership roles in product management and marketing for technology and telecom market leaders such as Cisco Systems, Global Crossing and Sprint as well as a founding team member of an ITIL/ITSM technology startup. In addition he works closely with the Lean Initiative at MIT on identifying ways of improving product realization in service and software products.
