SunGard Availability Services has added 12,000 sq ft of raised floor to its Carlstadt data center in the New York metropolitan for its colocation and managed hosting services. It has also added an additional six megawatts of utility power, 2 N redundancy and a new UPS power systems – additions it said are important for allowing clients to undertake virtualization initiatives.
