We were delighted to again celebrate success at this year’s Business Continuity Awards. Having been shortlisted in in the Disaster Recovery as a Service, BCM Planning Software and Initiative of the Year categories – an achievement in itself - we also won two awards on the night:

Resilience in Infrastructure & IT Service Delivery

Sungard Availability Services secured this award for our key investment strategy focused on resolving conflicts between traditional and agile IT, while developing new cloud-based services to meet customer needs for a resilient IT infrastructure. The ability to work with complex hybrid IT environments combined with our customer-focused approach were the key differentiators that made us stand out from the competition in this category.

Contribution to Resilience and Continuity

We received the ‘Contribution to Resilience and Continuity’ award for our two-pronged commitment to promoting awareness and understanding among industry users, as well as ensuring our people, processes and technologies are aligned to enable customers to wrest back certainty in an uncertain world. We help professionals, business leaders and IT decision-makers grapple with the demands of bi-modal Hybrid IT environments, as well as helping to ensure organisational resilience, competitiveness and availability.

Keith Tilley, EVP and vice chair of Sungard AS, commented, “These awards demonstrate our continued commitment to deliver the highest standards of service to our customers. As recent events in the UK have shown, it is vital that organisations approach their business continuity not just as a recovery-led process, but as one of All-Time™ availability, with resilience and security baked-in.  We constantly strive to deliver the solutions and consultancy to facilitate this mindset and work closely with customers to help them achieve it.”

Congratulations to Sungard AS customer John Frost and his team at Marks & Spencer who deservedly scooped the coveted Team of the Year title.
