How to prevent phishing attacks: Going beyond education

    At least 3.4 billion fake emails are sent every day as phishing attacks continue to grow and evolve into more sophisticated schemes. Cities, increasingly a target for ransom attacks, are scrambling to educate employees on how to spot those emails.

    That’s getting harder as hackers not only target specific employees, but use phone calls as well as emails. They’re using legitimate-looking URLs to lure Google logins or calling from numbers that appear to be Apple Support. They’re even matching the designs of enterprise single sign-on or webmail login pages

    Even as more organisations educate employees about phishing scams, the growing sophistication of these attacks means you have to do more than just teach employees how to spot them.

    Here’s how to go beyond education to ensure you’re safe from phishing attacks:
