WAYNE, Pa. – August 22, 2019 – Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS) has been honoured with two bronze Stevie® Awards in the 16th Annual International Business Awards®. Kathy Schneider, chief marketing officer at Sungard AS, received bronze in the Marketing Executive of the Year category. Additionally, the company's “Lead with Resilience” campaign garnered bronze for Marketing Campaign of the Year – Internet/Telecom.
The International Business Awards are the world's premier business awards programme. All individuals and organisations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2019 IBAs received a record total of more than 4,000 nominations from organisations of all sizes and in virtually every industry this year for consideration.
Sungard AS needed to differentiate and increase awareness of itself in the crowded industry of disaster recovery. Schneider led a cross-functional effort with support from various team members to develop and launch the “Lead with Resilience” marketing campaign. The campaign was based on primary research and leveraged key insights to, focus on the customer personas and their challenges in achieving business resilience. The campaign which launched internally and externally effectively clarified the company's brand message and value proposition and exceeded all digital marketing benchmarks.
In addition, Schneider streamlined Sungard AS' demand generation campaigns and aligned them with the “resilience” message platform to ensure consistency across marketing programmes and reinforcement of the brand. The awarded demand programme outperformed prior programmes with increased response rates, generating new sales opportunities that grew the company's sales pipeline.
