WAYNE, Pa.—November 19, 2018—Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS) has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Storage Competency Partner status, demonstrating success in helping customers manage the recovery and backup of their cloud environments by leveraging Sungard AS’ 40 years of experience as a leader in Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS).
The AWS Storage Competency recognizes AWS Partner Network (APN) Consulting and Technology Partners who have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success for the respective use-cases. This includes backup and recovery operations to, from and within AWS; primary storage using IP file or block protocols and object storage; active and passive data archiving services to appropriate storage tiers; and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solutions.

Sungard AS Cloud Recovery – AWS includes an SLA-backed service for disaster recovery, assuring availability and recoverability of service. This positioned XRS for GDPR compliance ahead of schedule, while offering its own customers greater protection against possible data corruption.
